A new gondola will provide year-round transport between the Fayet train station and the town of St Gervais! Work began in June 2023, lift opening planned for 2024

2022 / TSD6 Nants

For December 2022, the STBMA is investing 7 million euros for the replacement of the 2-seater ARBOIS chairlift by a modern 6-seater chairlift. Skiers will appreciate its speed as well as the smooth boarding and disembarking. A real bonus for those who love the exciting Dujon slopes !

Winter 2021

Marmottons beginner area

In December 2021, the STBMA opened a space dedicated to discovering snow sports at an altitude of 1840m. This new progressive ski area has all the advantages of a beginner area: wide pistes, progressive slopes, safe ski lifts and view of Mt Blanc!

Summer 2021

Ninja course

In 2021, the STBMA created a Ninja course: a sports obstacle course with zip line, rope games, balance tests and around twenty other obstacles. This course is totally free!

Winter 2019

Chattrix chairlift

The Chattrix chairlift is located in Saint-Nicolas de Véroce and serves magnificent ski slopes. In 2019, the STBMA invested in replacing the 2-seater chairlift dating from 1982 with a modern 6-seater chairlift.

Summer 2018

Mountain lake Joux

With a capacity of 35000 m3, Lac de Joux optimizes snow production and guarantees good snow cover in winter. In summer, the lake is an ideal place for a walk and a mountain farm offers fresh produce there.

2017 / TSD6 Epaule

In 2017, the STBMA invested 5.4 million euros to replace the 2-seater Epaule chairlift in Saint-Nicolas with a modern 6-seater chairlift. This chairlift takes you to an altitude of 2137m in 2min40sec with smooth boarding and disembarking. Up there, you will have a magnificent view of Mont-Blanc! Access to the Mont-Joly sector and the Grande Epaule piste with its 1000m drop to Chattrix!

2015 / Snowmaking on St Gervais piste

In 2015, the STBMA invested 1.5 million euros for the creation of a snowmaking network on the Saint-Gervais piste to ensure a return to the village ski-in ski-out.

2014 / TSD6 Mont-Joux

In 2014, the STBMA invested 7.2 million euros for the construction of the Mont-Joux 6-seater detachable chairlift. Located on one of the major axes of the Evasion ski area, this new device considerably improves the comfort, flow and safety of skiers.

2013 / News bubbles

In order to improve comfort and speed on the gondola which transports skiers and pedestrians between Saint-Gervais and Bettex, the STBMA replaced the 33 cabins of the DMC in 2013 and modernized the lift.

2011 / TSD6 Monts Rosset

In 2011, the STBMA invested 6.4 million euros in the construction of the Monts Rosset 6-seater detachable chairlift.

2007 / TSD6 Croix du Christ

In 2007, the STBMA invested 5.9 million euros in the construction of the 6-seater detachable chairlift of the Croix du Christ.

2006 / Chateluy Lake

In 2006, the mountain lake of Chateluy was created with a capacity of 7300m3. It improves the snowmaking capacity of the Saint-Gervais ski area in winter and is popular with walkers in summer!

2003 / TSD4 La Croix

In 2006, the STBMA invested 3.6 million for the creation of the La Croix chairlift in the Communailles sector.

1993-2021

Snow production network

In Saint-Gervais, the first snow guns were installed in 1993. Today, there are more than 900 snow guns in the Evasion ski area. The STBMA ensures optimized management of water and energy resources. Because artificial snow is water + cold air and that’s it!

1970 Creation of the ski resort

The year 1970 saw the birth of the Saint-Nicolas ski area with the construction of the Chef-Lieu chairlift. The resorts of Saint-Gervais and Saint-Nicolas were linked in 1971.
